CryoEM is a microscopy technique that applies a freeze-fixation technique to obtain the structure of biological macromolecules by using transmission electron microscopy to view samples at low temperatures. The sample is cryo-fixed and placed in an electron microscope where electrons are scattered in the sample and nearby ice. CD BioSciences uses a detector and lens system to image and record the scattered signals, which are then processed using 3D reconstruction techniques to obtain the 3D structure of the sample.
Vitrobot completely automates the vitrification process to provide fast, easy, reproducible sample preparation-the first step in obtaining high quality images and repeatable experimental results.
Relative humidity is reduced in this laboratory for sample preparation with lower chance of ice deposition on EM grids
CD BioSciences offers its customers the CryoEM imaging service based on Vitrobot to help analyze the 3D structure and microstructure of samples. If you are interested, please feel free to contact us.
