CryoEM is a microscopy technique that applies a freeze-fixation technique to obtain the structure of biological macromolecules by using transmission electron microscopy to view samples at low temperatures. The sample is cryo-fixed and placed in an electron microscope where electrons are scattered in the sample and nearby ice. CD BioSciences uses a detector and lens system to image and record the scattered signals, which are then processed using 3D reconstruction techniques to obtain the 3D structure of the sample.
The Talos Arctica Cryo-EM is a powerful, stable, and versatile 200kV FEG transmission electron microscope (TEM) built for delivering high-resolution 3D characterization of biological samples and biomaterials in cell biology, structural biology, and nanotechnology research. The Talos Arctica TEM enables scientists to quickly obtain better insight and understanding of macromolecular structures, cellular components, cells, and tissues in three dimensions.
CD BioSciences offers its customers the CryoEM imaging service based on Talos Arctica Cryo-EM to help analyze the 3D structure and microstructure of samples. If you are interested, please feel free to contact us.
