Biological imaging is an important research tool for understanding tissue structure and elucidating the various physiological functions of living organisms. It uses light or electron microscopy to obtain direct images of the microstructure of biological cells and tissues, and the resulting images are analyzed to understand the various physiological processes of biological cells. CD BioSciences' Bioimaging Centre has dozens of devices and, more importantly, our expertise and experience are invaluable to the industries and clients we serve. We can provide LaVision Ultramicroscope II Light Sheet Microscope-based bioimaging services.
There are six light sheets for homogenous illumination and the sheet width is 4-24 µm. It has four available laser lines: 488, 561, 637, 785. CAM has two body options available. The first is the zoom body which features an optical zoom from 1.26× to 12.6× and a working distance of up to 6 mm. The second is the Super Plan option with infinity corrected optics. There are 3 different objectives (1.1×, 4×, 12×) which allows for 0.66× to 30× imaging. The working distance ranges from 10.9 mm-17 mm.
The LaVision light sheet UltraMicroscopes allow users to image cleared tissue in either aqueous buffers or organic solvents.
In recent years, with the development of optical imaging technology, especially the introduction of digital imaging and computer image analysis, bioimaging has become an indispensable method in cell biology research.
