For protein structural crystallography, proper identification of protein crystals or salt crystals before obtaining structures by crystal diffraction is an important part of protein crystallization screening, as it reduces protein usage, lowers costs, and increases efficiency. Formulatrix RockImager 1 crystal plate imaging system at 4℃ with visible and UV imaging.
The Rockimager 1 is stored in a 4℃ cold room and used to image a single experimental plate at a time either in Visible light or UV illumination. Experiment plates can be stored in the cold room and the user will image them at their own imaging schedule. The RI-1 can handle any SBS format plate as well a more traditional 24-well Lindbro plate set by hand. The databases between the RI-1, RI-1000 and Rockmaker software are linked so images from 4C can be viewed remotely.
