The IncuCyte S3 from Essen Biosciences is a highly automated microscope that lives inside an incubator for full environmental control. The system houses six slots for multiwell plates and/or cell culture vessels and can run up to six experiments in parallel for days on end. There are three objectives available: 4×, 10×, and 20×. This allows multiple, simultaneous experiments using different objectives. Channels available include green and red fluorescence and phase contrast transmitted light. Automated analysis pipelines for segmenting and counting cells are also available with the IncuCyte software.
