Summary

The Bruker Ultima Investigator is an upright multiphoton microscope designed for both intravital and in vitro microscopy. The microscope body itself moves is motorized in X, Y, and Z so samples may remain fixed in place. The objective nose piece tilts up to 90 degrees for off-axis imaging. The laser is a Coherent Chameleon Discovery with two synchronized laser lines, a 680-1300 nm tunable line and a 1040 nm fixed. This system has two GaAsP detectors, standard galvos and resonant scanners, and a Becker-Hickl SPC-150 module for lifetime imaging (FLIM). A GPIO box allows for input and output triggers and analog signals generated by the system enable interaction with external devices for sensory stimulation, electrical recording, and other experimental devices.
