Microscope Imaging Service—Confocal Leica SP5 (Inverted)

Confocal microscopy is an optical imaging technique that uses point-by-point illumination and spatial pinhole modulation to remove scattered light from the non-focal plane of the sample, allowing for improved optical resolution and visual contrast compared to traditional imaging methods. CD BioSciences, the imaging experts, can provide you with Confocal Leica SP5 (Inverted)-based confocal microscopy imaging services.

Name of the Instrument/Platform

Confocal Leica SP5 (Inverted)

MANUFACTURER:
Leica

Summary

The Leica SP5 is used for fluorescence imaging of any fluorophore requiring excitation between near UV and red and has adjustable detectors to suit the desired emission range. It will work to an excitation range of 405-633 nm and any emission between 400-800 nm. It is suitable for short-term live cell experiments. It is fitted with additional laser lines for CFP and YFP imaging and adjustable scan speed, image size, pixel bit depth, zoom and rotation. There are additional single photon sensitive filtercube-based detectors (avalanche photo-diode detectors) and a resonant scanner (8kHz) for high sensitivity or high speed scanning.

CD BioSciences' Confocal Leica SP5 (Inverted)-based confocal microscopy service is an ideal partner for cutting-edge biomedical research, providing precise 3D imaging, as well as accurate imaging of cell structure and dynamic processes, all in one package.
