Summary

The TissueFAXs is an automated slide or plate scanner based on a Zeiss Axioobserver.12 slides or 2 plates can be loaded onto this device. It is equipped with a transmitted light source and 5 fluorescence channels. The preview lens on the system is currently a 2.5×, the recording lens is a 20×. Both can also be a 5× or another lens on request. The system also enables simultaneous recording of transmitted light and fluorescence.
HistoQuest and TissueQuest analysis software is available on one of the workstations in the facility. The dongle for use must be picked up from our office.
The system enables the following applications (or combinations thereof):
1. Automated multi-channel recordings
2. Individually definable Region of Interest (ROI)
3. Automated single cell detection with patented algorithms
4. Forward gating from the single cell towards the scattergram
5. Backward gating from individual point in scattergram to individual cell in sample
