Biomedical imaging usually refers to the science of researching image composition, capture and storage technology, and the research and development of instruments and equipment. CD BioSciences has a variety of imaging equipment, which can visually describe and accurately measure the structure and function of living organisms across scales, provide imaging omics research methods for complex life science problems and major diseases, and facilitate panoramic research and analysis of biomedical science.
1. Microscope: The Zeiss LSM 980 Confocal system uses an inverted Axio Observer 7 microscope stand with transmitted (HAL), UV (HBO) and laser (405 - 730 nm) illumination sources. It can collect bright field, DIC (using laser as light source) and confocal fluorescence images.
2. Objectives: 10×/0.45 WD=2 mm, 20×/0.8 WD=0.55 mm (dry), 40×/1.3 (oil), 63×/1.4 (oil) and 100× /1.4 WD=0.17 mm (oil).
3. Microscope Fluorescence Filters for Viewing: DAPI (blue), Rhodamine (red) and FITC (green).
4. Lasers: Diode lasers: (405 nm), (458, 488, 514 nm), (639 nm) and (730 nm). DPSS laser (561 nm).
5. Software: Zen 3.3 (Blue) software controls the microscope as well as image acquisition and processing.
6. Computer: HP Z6 G4 R2 with MS Windows 10 operating system.
Wide array of confocal and super resolution imaging applications including protein co-localization, cytoskeletal studies, Tiling of large tissue samples or lot of cells, Z-stack 3D/4D imaging, live cell imaging, calcium signaling and cell cycling studies.
