Biological Imaging Service—Zeiss LSM 880 Airyscan

Biological imaging is an important research tool for understanding tissue structure and elucidating the various physiological functions of living organisms. It uses light or electron microscopy to obtain direct images of the microstructure of biological cells and tissues, and the resulting images are analyzed to understand the various physiological processes of biological cells. CD BioSciences' Bioimaging Centre has dozens of devices and, more importantly, our expertise and experience are invaluable to the industries and clients we serve. We can provide Zeiss LSM 880 Airyscan-based bioimaging services.

Summary

The Zeiss LSM 880 is inverted confocal laser scanning microscope with Airyscan. This system is equipped with a unique scan head, incorporating a high-speed galvo scanner along with two PMTs and a 32 channel GaAsP-PMT area detector as well as a transmitted light PMT for DIC imaging. In addition, the Airyscan detector provides sub-diffraction limited imaging down to 140 nm (XY) and 400 nm (Z) resolution.
