This basic, inverted Zeiss Axiovert Z1 microscope allows you to check your brightfield and fluorescent stainings by using either transmitted white light or LED-based fluorescence excitation (blue, green, red). Additionally, the system boasts phase contrast objectives, that can be used to introduce contrast into unstained samples. The microscope is fitted with an AxioCam 208 color camera, particularly suitable for brightfield imaging. This microscope is ideal if you want to take a few snapshots of your H&E or Sirius red staining, for example, or if you just want to check if your fluorescent staining worked. The phase contrast objectives are ideal to look at unlabeled Prokaryotic or Eukaryotic cells on culture vessels, since the microscope boasts an inverted stand. This microscope does not need to be booked when checking samples by eye, but please do if you will be taking images with it.
