Neuroscience is a multidisciplinary field involving the study of the structure and function of the nervous system. It aims to understand the development of cognitive and behavioral processes, as well as to understand various diseases (such as Alzheimer's or Parkinson's disease) and find treatments for them. Neuroscientists often need to use microscopy to study challenging and complex samples to better understand the nervous system. CD BioSciences offers a comprehensive range of Whole Slide Scanning Microscopes-based imaging solutions to enable you to overcome these challenges.
The facility houses 2 Olympus VS120 slide scanners that has been specifically designed for high throughput facilities that require fast scanning speed and high image resolution. The VS120-SL 5 Slide System holds 5 slides at a time making it quicker and easier to archive slides and produce permanent records. Imager can scan in 10×, 20×, and 40×. The systems have 2 cameras to collect Histolo or Immuno staining. Both systems have an Orca R2 monochrome (16 bit) camera for fluorescence (DAPI, Alexa 488, Alexa 560, Alexa 640 and Venus) and the same color camera for histology sections.
CD BioSciences' solutions can combine high resolution, deep imaging, and large section display to give you the flexibility to image different types of samples such as live cells, tissues, organoids, and model organisms. If this is of interest to you, please contact us directly.
