The SP8 (SP8) is an inverted point laser scanning microscope. It is equipped with 3 PMTs and two HyDs (GaAsP detector for gated imaging). This microscope also offers a tandem scanner (8kHz), which can be used much faster than with the confocal scanner. It features free choice of different excitation wavelengths and spectra, separating overlapping spectra and acquiring lambda stacks with subsequent unmixing and fluorescence lifetime microscopy
