Different sample preparation methods are used for different samples and usually involve sampling, fixation, tissue and sectioning, staining/immunohistochemistry/in situ hybridization, and sealing. Sample preparation is essential to obtain clear and realistic imaging results. CD BioSciences offers different sample preparation services for different imaging methods. The Leica EM AFS 2 is a freeze-substitution and embedding system using low temperature, wich is programmed by the user.
