Electron microscopes can excite electrons to form images that magnify micron and nanostructures up to 10 million times, providing amazing levels of fine magnification and allowing researchers to observe even individual atoms. CD BioSciences can provide innovative solutions for electron microscopy and microanalysis. We offer Zeiss TEM Libra 120 that allow customers to combine high-resolution imaging with physical, elemental, chemical and electrical analysis to obtain usable data from the widest range of samples.
Technical Specifications
Electron Column: Acceleration voltage: 80 kV to 120 kV, LaB6 electron source.
Highly flexible advanced Koehler illumination system for true parallel-beam specimen illumination over the entire imaging and diffraction range which guarantees for superior image contrast. In-column OMEGA energy filter for excellent elemental analysis (EFTEM, ESI, EELS) and diffraction patterns and superior image quality and signal to noise ratio even under extreme low dose conditions. Truly symmetrical single field condenser objective lens for analytical applications, i.e. EDX measurements.
Analysis: EELS, ESI, Image EELS, EDS.

Transmission electron microscopy, 3D TEM tomography, elemental analyses
The Zeiss Libra 120 120 kV transmission electron microscope combines a Koehler illumination system with a Zeiss in-column OMEGA-energy filtering system for improved image contrast of thick and even unstained ultrathin samples. High detector flexibility extends the Libra 120 to fully analytical TEM (EDS, EFTEM, ESI, EELS). The microscope is equipped with an integrated high precision 5-axes tilt goniometer stage with ±75° for 3D TEM tomography.
