Interactions between proteins, nucleic acids, peptides, and other biomolecules are central to biology, physiology, and medicine, it is prevalent in all life forms and is central to any research or development program involving biomolecules. CD BioSciences offers a FLASC 1000 Time-Correlated Single-Photon Counting Fluorometer-based intermolecular interaction detection platform that enables real-time, dynamic, ordered and highly accurate detection of different types of interactions between different types of biomolecules.
The FLASC 1000 Time-Correlated Single-Photon Counting (TCSPC) Fluorometer is for time-resolved fluorescence experiments. The fully automated fluorimeter, designed and constructed in collaboration with Quantum Northwest (Liberty Lake, WA), uses a modified 'T-format' optical arrangement that permits simultaneous collection of multiple decay curves. The sample chamber is temperature controlled and can accommodate different sample holders, including standard cuvettes, a high-pressure cell, or a goniometer for crystal samples. The FLASC 1000 is used for fluorescence and phosphorescence lifetime measurements and time-resolved anisotropy measurements.
