Biomedical imaging usually refers to the science of researching image composition, capture and storage technology, and the research and development of instruments and equipment. CD BioSciences has a variety of imaging equipment, which can visually describe and accurately measure the structure and function of living organisms across scales, provide imaging omics research methods for complex life science problems and major diseases, and facilitate panoramic research and analysis of biomedical science.
1. Microscope: The Zeiss LSM 710 confocal microscope system uses a Zeiss AXIO Observer Z1 inverted microscope stand with transmitted (HAL), UV (HBO) and laser illumination sources. It can collect transmitted light images (bright field and DIC) as well as conventional and confocal fluorescence images. The scope has 10×, 20×, 40× (dry), 40× (water), 63× and 100× (oil) objectives.
2. Fluorescence Filters: DAPI, Rhodomine (red) and FITC (green).
3. Lasers: 405 nm Diode laser, Argon/2 (458, 488, 514 nm), HeNe1 (543/561 nm) and HeNe2 (633 nm).
4. Detectors: 34 channel confocal and transmitted light detectors.
5. Software: ZEN 2011 software to control the microscope, scanning, laser module, tools and the image acquisition and processing.
6. Computer: LSM710 is controlled via a HP Z800 workstation with the Windows 7 (64 bit) operating system.
