Biological imaging is an important research tool for understanding tissue structure and elucidating the various physiological functions of living organisms. It uses light or electron microscopy to obtain direct images of the microstructure of biological cells and tissues, and the resulting images are analyzed to understand the various physiological processes of biological cells. CD BioSciences' Bioimaging Centre has dozens of devices and, more importantly, our expertise and experience are invaluable to the industries and clients we serve. We can provide Typhoon FLA 9500 Fluoroimager/Phosphoimager-based bioimaging services.

Typhoon FLA 9500 is a versatile laser scanner that is ideal for imaging of fluorescent Western Blot membranes. Biomolecular imaging applications include sensitive and quantitative measurements of Western blots, multiplex fluorescence and radioactive labels. It can detect more than one protein at the same time by means of secondary antibodies labeled with different fluorophores. Amersham ECL Plex fluorescence detection systems are compatible with typhoon FLA 9500. It contains the 2-D DIGE system for accurate quantitation of changes in protein expression and the DeCyder 2D differential analysis software. High sensitivity and broad dynamic range make it highly suitable for 2-D DIGE applications to detect and quantitate subtle changes in protein expression.
