Biological imaging is an important research tool for understanding tissue structure and elucidating the various physiological functions of living organisms. It uses light or electron microscopy to obtain direct images of the microstructure of biological cells and tissues, and the resulting images are analyzed to understand the various physiological processes of biological cells. CD BioSciences' Bioimaging Centre has dozens of devices and, more importantly, our expertise and experience are invaluable to the industries and clients we serve. We can provide Leica SP5 II Laser Scanning Confocal Microscope-based bioimaging services.
1. This system has a tandem scanner that has both a standard scanner (lower speed, resolution up to 8K × 8K) and a resonant scanner (higher speed, resolution up to 1K × 1K).
2. In addition to standard PMTs this system has HyD detectors (GaAsP) that combine high-sensitivity and low noise.
3. FRAP, FLIP, time-lapse imaging, lambda scanning, and high-speed imaging are possible on this system as well.
4. Our Leica SP5 II LSCM offers an inverted configuration microscope with automatic focus control outfitted with the following objectives:
1) 10× (NA-0.4) air objective
2) 20× (NA-0.7) multi-immersion
3) 40× (NA-1.25) oil-immersion
4) 63× (NA-1.32) oil-immersion
5) 100× (NA-1.44) oil-immersion
5. Four spectral channels can be acquired simultaneously or sequentially. Fluorphores can be e×cited by these lasers:
1) Diode (405 nm)
2) Ar (457, 476, 488, 514 nm)
3) Green HeNe (561 nm)
4) Red HeNe (633 nm)
