Biological imaging is an important research tool for understanding tissue structure and elucidating the various physiological functions of living organisms. It uses light or electron microscopy to obtain direct images of the microstructure of biological cells and tissues, and the resulting images are analyzed to understand the various physiological processes of biological cells. CD BioSciences' Bioimaging Centre has dozens of devices and, more importantly, our expertise and experience are invaluable to the industries and clients we serve. We can provide IVIS Spectrum-based bioimaging services.
IVIS spectrum: The IVIS Spectrum is a whole-body optical imaging system featuring high-sensitivity in vivo imaging of fluorescence and bioluminescence. Up to 5 mice can be imaged simultaneously with a 23 cm field of view.
1. Track biodistribution of a fluorescently labeled drug over time
2. Use reporter genes to measure gene activity in a tumor in response to a drug
3. Screen for adequate tumor growth prior to initiating an MRI or PET study
Perform in vivo bioluminescence and fluorescence imaging of reporter genes, labeled cells, novel contrast agents, and more on the IVIS Spectrum.
